Kayaking to Chinaman’s Hat

Strange…I thought I had posted about this already.  My friend Michelle had a little time between leaving one job and starting another so we decided to take a little kayaking trip to chinaman’s hat.  It’s a little island off the coast of Kualoa Beach and we thought it would be a fun little adventure.  It’s  quick 15-20 minute paddle off the beach.  They say you can actually walk at low tide because it’s so shallow.  We didn’t want to worry about tides so we just borrowed a Kayak and paddled over. It was a real nice escape from reality as we made our way over and walked around the island.  We had designs on climbing to the top but never found a trail that ascended without getting super steep and scary.  We still had a great time walking on the rocks along the shore, swimming and exploring. This can easily be done in a half day but take your time.  We spent about 3 or 4 hours out at the island and another hour just paddling around.  Enjoy the photos and let me know if you have any questions.
