Kauai

Our only real experience in Kauai was Aidan and I on our own.  We went tubing down and old irrigation ditch.  Yes, an irrigation ditch.  I was pretty fun actually.   There were 5 tunnels that were carved out by hand a couple hundred years ago.  Aidan had a good time and so did I.

The only thing I regret about the entire week is not seeing more of Kauai.  But when you have children sometimes you just can’t do what you want to do.  By the time we got to Kauai it was the end of the week and the kids had had it.

In the evening we went to a Luau and enjoyed that.  I don’t recomend any of the food to speak of.  If your going to go to a luau that’s all well and good but don’t expect super food.  Hawaiian food is pretty bland and in general nothing to write home about.  But that’s just my opinion.

The following day the ship cruised by the Na Pali Cliffs.  There aren’t really any words for it.  AMAZING!

This island is #1 on my list of places to go back to after this trip!
